Found this quote today when I was reading an e-mail from my old coach Nancy from Team in Training.  If there's any piece of advice I can give to fat, lazy, selfish people I'll be sure to give
them this quote!   Always life live to the fullest !

"Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing. "

March 22, 2011

This morning I decided I wanted to try something different with my blog.  I've been reading a running book and they preach about logging your workouts and your day and blah, blah, blah.  I don't want to register for another journal on another website so I'm going to do a daily write-up here!  I'll write about my day, my newest adventures, my workout and my eating habits.  Speaking of eating I'm chowing down on a medium sized banana as we speak.  Most of this writing is for my own personal satisfaction but if you actually like my writing please continue it makes me feel special!!

DAY 1

Good morning journal!  Today has been a pretty relaxed and normal day.  Michelle my roommate is out of town right now so I'm busy taking care of the pets and reading in my spare time!  I got my normal 8hrs of sleep today and I'm taking it pretty easy at the house.  Today for a workout I'll be doing kickboxing at 6:15pm.  My foot seems to be healing well but I'm still taking it super easy as I try to recovery and get ready for my JFK 50 training in the next couple months!  So far today I've done okay on not ingesting processed foods here's my list:

1) Medium Sized Banana
2) 1 cup OJ
3) 1 cup unsweetened soymilk
3) 1 cup cereal
4) handful of blueberries
5)

Disney Princess Marathon!

This weekend Michelle and I participated in our first Disney Princess  1/2 Marathon (the most magical marathon ever)!  On Sunday morning we were up at the butt crack of 3 am and being bused to the starting line at 4.  I ran in a kids zebra skirt with pink frills,  neon yellow top with delightfully tacky sequined Minnie ears all 13.2 miles.  Michelle was a few minutes ahead when I reached the finish line but  I still finished strong considering my bum left foot.  I placed around 500 of 17,000 and I'm still not sure what my official chip time is but hopefully I'll know here soon (I'm thinking somewhere between 1hr 54 or 55 min).  After the magical run we went to the Magic Kingdom!  Having my little sister Kennedi there with me made it an extra special celebration.   Kennedi experienced her first plane ride, first visit to DisneyWorld  and her very first visit with my side of the family.  It was a great place for us to all relax and be kids again.  Maybe the lack of sleep over the weekend was what made me so giddy; regardless, I still had an amazing time.  Let's do this next year!!

3 am Wake-Up Call! No time to poop!

Mile 11, I was crying prior to this photo but a princess always keeps a straight face
for the camera!

FINISH! Time for some pancakes!
